We would like to welcome you to the brand new Take Heart website!
Take Heart for the Nations has been established to provide relief, assistance and love to those around us - both near and far - who desperately need that relief, assistance and love. With your help, we shall strive to transform despair into hope, tragedy into recovery, and disaster into regrowth.
We hope that in these pages you will find ways in which you can show your compassionate heart to the nations, and help us to take that compassion to those who need it.
Mother's Day
To mark Mother's Day, Andrea Hudak decided that she would raise funds for the mothers in Haiti.
Andrea doesn't like to stand still, so she decided to go off for a wee run and raise money that way. Just a wee run - all the way from the Mothers and Toddlers Group at the Muirfield Centre in Cumbernauld to the Falkirk wheel! Only 9 miles! And just in case you think that she was making things easy for herself, that was after helping out at the Mothers and Toddlers and before she started a late shift at work!
Libby Pender went along with her on her bike, just to make sure she was ok, and Libby had to struggle to keep up!
On the day, Andrea raised over £500, and everyone at Take Heart is delighted with her achievement. Well done Andrea!

Everyone at Take Heart for the Nations would like to wish you a Happy New Year, and we hope that 2013 will be a year where you see amazing things!
We all like to start each year with a new step. Sometimes we make our mind up to stop doing something - a bad habit, perhaps. But this year, instead of stopping something, why not start something?
How about starting to help Take Heart on a monthly basis by setting up a standing order with your bank? It doesn't need to be a lot - even £1 a month will help, but £5 or £10 a month would be and amazing boost! Any amount would be welcome!
It's easy to do - there is a standing order form which you can download on our Giving page.

Thanks to the efforts of so many people, the amount which has been collected for Take Heart for Haiti has now exceeded $65,000! Thank you everyone!
All the money collected for Haiti goes towards the construction of the hospital
Remember that this money goes to the new hospital project in La Gonave in Haiti.
Construction work on the hospital is really progressing very well, and you can watch the latest construction report in the video on the left - just click the play button.
